Nancilee Freeman, of Arroyo Grande, passed away August 13, 2017, in Arroyo Grande, CA at the age of 83.   A Celebration of Life Service will be held for her at Hyatt Hall in Sunrise Terrace on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:30 am.  Graveside services will be held at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd., Arvin, CA at 10:45 am on September 22, 2017 where Nanci will be interred next to her husband, John Freeman.   Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel is handling the funeral arrangements.

 

Nanci was born in Chicago, Illinois to Clint and Leota Willis on May 13, 1934.  She owned and operated Nanci’s Bridal Boutique in Arcadia, CA for several years, and later co-owned and managed Freeman Machinery Business with her husband of 28 years, John Freeman.  She was a member of the Red Hats Society, and enjoyed playing bridge and other card games with her friends at Sunrise Terrace.  She also adored her dog, Foxee, who proudly sat next to her every day in her golf cart on the drive to the Dog Park.  But most of all, she loved her family and the special times they shared together.

 

Nanci is preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Leota Willis, her husband, John Freeman, and son, Gary Wilbert.

 

Nanci is survived by her sister Susy Bradshaw of Arroyo Grande, CA; sons Brad (Linda) Wilbert of Arroyo Grande, CA and Dave (Kelly) Wilbert of Riverside, CA; daughter, Wendy Wilbert of Telluride, CO; 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
