Wilma Jean Mattos was born on June 16th, 1927, to parents Ted and Cleo Chumbley in Pasadena, California. She graduated from Monrovia High School. After high school, she married Russell Dean Mattos. They were married for fifty-one years. Together they had three children, Ronald D. Mattos (deceased), Linda J. Mattos (deceased) and Judy Mattos Burrows. Wilma was a fun housewife, enjoying the Beta Signa Fi Sorority until she moved to Arroyo Grande in 1978. There she volunteered for 35 years at the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital. She was also an active member in the Oceano and San Luis Obispo Senior Centers. Wilma had great friends and enjoyed traveling on cruises and going to the casino. For 96 years Wilma always had a beautiful smile to greet friends and family.
