Vernon R. Dahl

Vernon Russell Dahl, aged 63, was born in Reedley, California. He passed away October 30th 2021. Vern was a great humanitarian and was loved by his family and community alike. He was an elected official and a current trustee for the past ten years of the Lucia Mar Unified School District. He also served on the Oceano Community Service District for the previous ten years. He sat on many committees in San Luis Obispo County, including the Airport Land Use. The last twelve years he was an advocate for the homeless and helped provide food for local families in need. 

He is survived by wife, Cheryl Carnes; daughter Brandi Carnes; brother Dan Dahl; nephew Dave Friesen.

A graveside service will be held at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery, 895 El Camino Real, Arroyo Grande CA, 93420 on Monday, November 8th 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
