Stephanie Painter Obituary

Stephanie Rose Painter, 75, of Arroyo Grande, California, passed away on
July 23, 2021.  Stephanie was born November 14th, 1945, to Eleanor
(Brizard) and Wesley Fowler in Berkley, California.

Our mother was raised in Sacramento, where she attended Catholic school,
and graduated from Loretta High School in 1964.  While in high school
she met Charles Henry Painter whom she married in January 1965.  They
had four children: Tiffinie, Emerson, Christina, and Sabrina.

After she married, she dedicated her life to being a fantastic, fun, and
wonderful mother.  She was our biggest cheerleader and our constant
supporter.  She not only raised her own children, but she was like a
mother to her three nieces (Carolynn, Leslie, and Sheila) and one nephew
(Bill) after her oldest sister passed away in 1964, and raised her three
grandsons (Aaron, Westley, Ethan) and grand-daughter (Sierra) after her
daughter-in-law and son passed away in 2008 and 2009.  She also helped
raise her grandson, Cody, as well.  She was a mother until the very end.

In 1967, our mom moved to Shell Beach, where she lived with her husband
and children until 1970, when they moved to Arroyo Grande where she
lived until her death.  She had a career in real-estate in San Luis
Obispo County, which she loved and made many friends.

Our mother was imaginative and creative.  We could always rely on her
for providing all of us creative solutions for our school work or in our
life.  She was a fabulous cook and always prepared wonderful dinners and
holiday meals, especially the family stuffing, mashed potatoes, and
apple pie.  She loved gardening, especially her roses, and watching
“her” wild birds at her many bird feeders surrounding her prized fig
tree in her backyard.  She was always fun, too, and we had lots of fun
times growing up going to Avila, Pismo, or Shell beaches; crabbing off
Pismo pier or at Pirates Cove, then having a crab fest at Oceano park.

Our mother taught us how to be good mothers to our children and to have
fun; the value of hard work, honesty, and right from wrong, among many
other life lessons, whether by hours of listening and talking with us or
by sharing with us her own mistakes or successes.  She was very good at
listening and talking with her children, grandchildren, nieces and
nephews, and sisters.

Our entire family and her dear friends will miss her tremendously.

Our mother was predeceased by her son, Emerson D. Painter, and
daughter-in-law Lori A. Painter (Barnes); her parents Wesley and Eleanor
Fowler; her sisters, Joan K. Dwyer, and Mary E. McCart, and brother Eric
D. Fowler.

She is survived by her daughters: Tiffinie K. Meyer (Russell) of
Monterey, CA; Christina M. Sanders (Judah) of Orcutt, CA; and Sabrina K.
Painter of Arroyo Grande, CA; her grandchildren: Christopher A.C. Meyer,
Jourdain B. Nickerson (Jeremy), Spenser K. Wilcox (Christopher), Aaron
D. Painter, Westley M. Painter, Ethan A.C. Painter, Sierra R. Painter,
Haley B Fischer, Kaili J. Sanders, Jaxon H. Sanders, and Cody Gaugush;
her great-grandchildren: Landon, Logan, Benjamin, Andrew, Christopher,
McKenzie, Elizabeth, and Charlie; her sister, Adrienne Rogers of
Sacramento, CA; and her nieces: Carolynn Fox, Leslie Johnson, Sheila
Foy, Sirena Winslow, Alika Crooks; and nephews: Bill Dwyer, Dane McCart,
Ian McCart, Shawn Painter, Jason Painter, and Jonathan Rogers; as well
as many great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews,
cousins, and in-laws.
