Sharron Kay Simpson

Sharron Kay Simpson, 63, of Oceano, passed away in her home on March 11, 2025. Born on January 28, 1962, in Maricopa Arizona, Sharron spent much of her early life traveling with her family until they eventually settled in the Five Cities area. Growing up in the 1960’s and 1970’s was an interesting yet turbulent time, yet Sharron persisted as was the theme of her life.  It was a blind date when she was 17 that would change her life forever. At 8pm on October 8th is when they would meet. This is when she met Michael Edward Simpson, and 8 would be their lucky number. After a whirlwind courtship they would end up marrying on March 9, 1981, and end up spending 44 exciting, and love filled years with each other. With Michael, Sharron shared two sons, Floyd Wesley and Michael Anthony. Sharron loved being a mom. On top of keeping an immaculately clean home she raised and cared for her sons while Mike was working hard to make ends meet. Reading, cleaning, coffee, Pepsi, and family was her life, and she was happier for it.

Sharron didn’t take up much space in this world, being only 4 foot 11 and rarely weighing above 100 pounds. She wouldn’t hesitate to remind you that “dynamite comes in small packages!” And a lasting impression she did leave upon anyone who had the joy of knowing her. Children and dogs loved her, and she loved them back just as much. Sharron loved her family more than anything else. She always gave more of herself than she took. Sharron always held a special spot in her heart for her mom, and after she was gone, Sharron yearned for the day she would see her again in paradise. Today, we are the ones left yearning for her, sad for our loss, but happy for her long-awaited peace.

Sharron is survived by her husband, Michael Edward Simpson, her two sons Floyd Wesley and Michael Anthony, and her grandchildren Trent, Trevor, Hunter, Rhett, Ezra, and Maisie. Never will you be forgotten, and always will you be missed.
