Sept. 12, 1935 – July 26, 2022

Born Sharon N. Newton to Robert and Lucille Newton of San Luis Obispo, CA.

Preceded in death by George Swan beloved husband, her parents and her brother Rodney T. Newton.

Sharon was well known for her time as a checker at Arroyo Grande Williams Bros Market as Sharon Kounanis. She is survived by her 4 children and their spouses Debbie (Terry) Hickenbottom, Gary (Susan) Kounanis, Gerry (Danny) Mitchell, and Lynda DePhillips (Matt) Pearce. Wonderful Grandma to 8 Grandchildren (spouses) and Awesome Great Grandma to 4 great grandchildren.

The best years of her life were spent with her husband of 36 years George Swan. They enjoyed traveling on Cruises, trips to Laughlin and Mexico. Both were loyal Moose Members where they made many wonderful friends. Everyone in her Condo complex loved her. She also leaves behind George’s 4 Children, their spouses, Grandchildren and greats. She was a wonderful beautiful woman known and loved by her family and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
