Samuel Aiello Obituary

"With great sadness, we announce the passing of Samuel Phillip Aiello on July 18, 2022, in Arroyo Grande, CA. A lifelong resident of California, Sam was born in Hemet and moved to the Central Coast in 1986. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Mary Aiello, and is survived by his wife, Debbie and their four children: Anthony (Amanda) Aiello, Annette (Greg) Karis, Aaron Aiello and Aimee (Zach) Smith; five grandchildren: Abigail, Andersen and Aiden Aiello and Kennedy and Kyler Karis; three sisters: Angela Aiello, Frances (Joe) Laski and Teresa Stevens; and four nephews: Michael Aiello, Joe and Jon Laski and Will Stevens.

Sam was highly devoted to his Catholic faith and to his family. His retention of knowledge was exceptional and he happily shared that knowledge with his children throughout their childhood and adult lives. He was a rule-follower and an advocate for honesty and respect. Those traits supported his chosen public service career from which he retired in 2009 after decades of service in Southern California and with the San Luis Obispo County Department of Social Services. All who knew Sam will remember his intelligence, loyalty, fairness and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched.

A family mass will be held at St. Patrick's church."
