Russell Johns

Russell Johns, 80, of Arroyo Grande died Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Marian Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 26th at 1pm at Arroyo Grande Cemetery. Pastor Greg Noe of Oceano Central Coast Worship Center 1710 Oceano Street, Oceano, CA 93445. 

Russell was born in Tupelo Arkansas on December 9, 1942 to Will and Hazel Johns. On December 6, 1968 Russell married Delouris Gable. They were married for 54 years.

He was a man who loved fishing and working on cars, also loved dinner at sunset with his loving wife, gold dredging, and spending time with his family.

Russell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, father in-law, and brother. He is survived by his wife Delouris Johns. HIs two children Carla and husband Tom Karafiat of Las Vegas, Paula and Husband Eddie Gardner of Arroyo Grande. His four grandkids Trent and wife Soshana of Las Vegas, Nathan and his wife Irene of Las Vegas, Cody and his wife Briana of Santa Margarita, Haley and husband Raymond of Arroyo Grande. Between them all he has seven great grandkids Daryn, Jacob, Remington, Daltie, Saya, Trevor, and Benny. His brother Ralph Johns of Arroyo Grande and sister in-law Norma Johns of Nipomo. 

Russell was preceded in death by his father and mother Will and Hazel Johns, two brothers Raymond and Robert Johns, and two sister in-laws Joan and Mildred Johns, numerous nieces and nephews.
