Robert James Kaplanek, Jr.

Robert James Kaplanek Junior, age 84, of Arroyo Grande, California, left us on May 5, 2024.
Robert was born on November 18/19, 1939, in Denver, Colorado.
Robert is survived by his wife of 45 years,  Katherine,  by his loving children,  Ryan Kaplanek, Robyn Kaplanek, Coleen Kaplanek,  and by his four grandchildren.
Robert’s early career was as a landscape contractor. In his family’s business, he landscaped nearly every freeway in Southern California, as well as portions of South Coast Plaza,  Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm.
He then became Dr. Kaplanek by achieving his juris doctorate.  
Robert loved woodworking, swing dancing and was an excellent tennis player.
He continued to beautify this earth with planting and nurturing trees at the family home.
A memorial will be held at a future date to be announced.
