It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Allen Andrews, affectionately known as Dad, "Boy" and Grandpa Rich, on May 19th, 2025. Born on Flag Day, June 14th, 1943, in Los Angeles, California, Rich was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and gentleman. Rich had 2 older brothers (twins) and a younger sister. He was a talented entrepreneur, owning several small businesses from rental properties to liquor stores, gas stations and convenience stores throughout Ventura County and Arizona. He raised 2 sons, Todd Anthony Andrews and Greg Allen Andrews with his wife, Patricia Ann, in Camarillo, CA before buying a Shell station in Lake Havasu, Arizona in the early 90's. Rich enjoyed boating and lake activities, art, travel, cars, casinos and conversation. He was devastated by the passing of his love, Patty, in 1998. In mid-2000s, he moved to Arroyo Grande to enjoy a more temperate climate and walks on the beach. He met Norma Jean Newdoll with whom he shared the past 25 years. Rich is survived by his son, Greg (Agoura Hills), grandkids Garrett and Adele (Agoura Hills, CA), and Nicholas and Cameron (Lake Havasu, AZ); his brothers Rod (Henderson, NV) and Ron (Oxnard, CA), sister Ellen (Lake Havasu, AZ), and his loving companion Norma. There will be a celebration of his life on Sunday, July 20 at 11:00am at The Monarch Club, 1645 Trilogy Parkway, Nipomo, CA.
