Patsy Jean (Minor) Howland

Patsy Jean Howland

July 2, 1937 – July 22, 2024

Patsy was born in Springfield, Missouri, the second of five children to Edward and Hazel Minor. In 1943, her family relocated to California, first to San Francisco, then to several other cities throughout California before eventually landing in Grover Beach. Patsy attended Arroyo Grande High School, and graduated with the class of 1955.

In 1956, she married Clyde Howland, and together they purchased a parcel of land in Grover Beach and built a home. For the next 67 years they raised three children, entertained friends & family, and made many memories from this original home site.

Patsy is survived by three sons – Rick (Deana), Keith (Elizabeth), Mike (Cynthia), three grandchildren - Ethan, Sarah, and Rabecka, and two sisters - Jeanette Romero and Kathy Roush.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Hazel Minor, her husband, Clyde Howland, her brothers, Eddie and Paul Minor, and her grandson Shane Thomas.
