Napoleon De Guzman Nagayo passed away due to complications from a stroke on August 2, 2020 in Santa Maria, CA at the age of 74. Napoleon is survived by his wife Yolanda Nagayo and his children Elaine Darvin, Jennifer Foster, David Nagayo, Alexander Nagayo, his step-daughter Karen Kiddle, and his many grandchildren.
Napoleon was born on August 15, 1945 in San Isidro, Nueva Ecija in the Philippines to Marceliano Nagayo and Ana De Guzman. He graduated from FEATI University in Manila, Philippines. He married Yolanda Marie Nagayo in 1984 after immigrating to the United States in 1977. After moving to San Luis Obispo and Oceano, California, he worked for Bechtel Corporation and Pacfic Gas and Electric company as a Senior Design Engineer at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. Napoleon retired from Pacific Gas and Electric company in 2015. Napoleon spent his final years of his life living in Oceano, California.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2020 at 11AM at Marshall-Spoo in Grover Beach, California. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions and San Luis Obispo county ordinances, the service will be limited to the immediate family. We will have open memorial viewing from 9-11 AM for friends and loved ones who cannot attend the memorial. We will stream the memorial service online for those who cannot attend, and a Celebration of Life that will be held on a later date. Additional details regarding the live stream will follow shortly.
