Mary Harland

Mary Harland was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on December 16, 1935 to Harriet Boss Copenhaver and Paul Copenhaver. She grew up in the mountains near Portland, PA and as a teenager, moved with family to La Verne, CA.

Upon reaching adulthood she married Bill Reid and together they had three children, Kathy, James, and Naida.

After her divorce Mary worked for twenty seven and a half years for Los Angeles County Children Social Services. She enjoyed vacationing annually in Cambria, CA. She fell in love with the Central Coast and retired in Grover Beach, CA in 1996.

Mary was a marvelous dancer, and while attending a senior dance in Morro Bay she met Bill Harland. He asked her to lunch and shortly thereafter they were married. They enjoyed a very close love for twenty seven years.
