Mark Douglas McNeil

Mark earned his angel wings on Monday, November 13, 2023, surrounded by his beloved wife, Fe (Villador) and family, cherished daughter Shannon Lemons, along with her husband Keith Lemons and daughter Audrianna Lemons & sister Ann Napier, and loved ones. Mark is survived by his son, Baird McNeil. Mark’s roots ran deep within Arroyo Grande, spanning five generations of the McNeils and Sullivans. A graduate of Arroyo Grande High School, class of 1966 and a student of AG grammar schools, Mark’s academics led him to earn a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from Cal Poly and a Master’s Degree from UC Irvine in Medical Engineering, specializing in blood patterning. Mark spearheaded a team that invented a groundbreaking machine, detecting crucial proteins indicative of heart muscle damage post-heart attack. He was a Christian, a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, friend to many, surfer, musician, athlete, chef, and traveler..
