It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Magdaleno Cabebe Zambo on January 5, 2022 and is now resting in the hands of our Creator.
Magdaleno was well-loved by his family as he was a well-respected man. He worked tirelessly to provide for his wife Milagros for 65 years, and his six children: Marissa (Sampaguita), Alex(Sandy), Nestor(Kathryn), Ignacio(Grace), Loy(Suzi) and Ferdinand(Stephanie).
He was a kind-hearted person and very dear to his two sisters and five brothers. Magdaleno was preceded in death by his two sisters: Janet Zambo and Rosario Cabonce (Mariano) and his two brothers: Isidro (Buena) of San Fernando, La Union, Philippines and Benjamin (Catharina) of Honolulu. He is survived by his three brothers: Samuel (Fely) Zambo of San Jose, Venancio (Dolly) Zambo of Sacramento, and Mario (Linda) Zambo of Grover Beach.
He was known as the enthusiastic grandfather to his grandkids: Christina (Russ grandson-in-law), Brian, Madison, Olivia, and Harper to whom he would always flash a vibrant smile as he would welcome them.
Before Dementia eventually caught up with his life, he was an easy-going person who enjoyed passing the time by fishing for perch, playing cards and mahjong with his friends. He also enjoyed attending parties where he would entertain and light up the crowd with his smooth dance steps.
He was an active member of the Filipino Community of San Luis Obispo, Narvacanian Association of Central California, Knights of Columbus Council #8762, Legionarios Del Trabajo #517, and Saint Paul The Apostle Church of Pismo Beach.
Due to the covid pandemic, the safety of all is important and we will understand if you can only join us in spirit, united in prayers.
I am not gone.
My soul lives on
but in a better place.
Surrounded by the
Light of God
in all His glory
and grace.
