KC Cavanillas Obituary

KC Cavanillas, 19, of Nipomo passed away on May 2, 2021. His family and friends are deeply saddened by the loss of their beloved son, brother, and friend.

KC was born to Joe and Sheli Cavanillas. He grew up in Arroyo Grande and was very active in his community. KC raised pigs in 4H and volunteered for many local community service projects like feeding the homeless and beach clean-up days.  Football was a big part of KC’s life growing up. He played on many winning teams throughout his elementary, junior high, and high school years.

After graduating from AGHS in 2019, KC joined the family business building homes. His favorite part of the job was operating the heavy equipment and working with his dad and brother.

KC will be remembered as an amazing person and friend. He had a fun loving, attitude and always had a smile on his face.  He could hold a conversation with anyone and was a trustworthy, honest, and caring person. KC received joy from helping other people and never expected anything in return. He had a passion for life, family, and friends. He loved traveling, cooking, trying new things, and was up for any adventure. His spare time was spent with his family, friends, and his girlfriend, Jordyn.

His memory will be cherished forever and his family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

KC is survived by his parents, Joe and Sheli Cavanillas, brothers, Logan (Gennifer) and Luke Cavanillas; grandfather, Glenn Simmermaker, his aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, June 5 at New Life Church in Pismo Beach. Burial will follow at Arroyo Grande Cemetery. After burial, a reception will be held at Oceano Depot, 1650 Front St., Oceano.  All family and friends are welcome.
