Josephine Wright 12/7/35 – 9/20/23
Josephine, or Jo to her family and friends, was a loving mother of 4, but “Mom” to so many others. Family was important to her and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She adored not only her family but all sorts of animals: horses, dogs, cats and wildlife. She spent many hours enjoying her hummingbirds in the yard.
Although she didn’t get to do as much of it as she liked, she loved traveling. Took many cruises and brought back so many unique mementos of her travels. She loved to shop and filled her heart and house with gifts that brought her joy. She loved dancing and going out to eat.
Jo was born in Arroyo Grande, CA attended Arroyo Grande High School and spent most of her years in various places on the central coast of California where she cooked at so many of our local restaurants including: Spyglass, Pismo Fish & Chips, Melanies just to name a few. No one could toss and egg like Jo. She worked hard all of her life raising and providing for her children, both her own and the neighborhood kids who were always at her house.
Jo was preceded in death by her, son, Edward Fonseca; daughter, Marlene Clark. She is survived by sons Leland Fonseca(Julia), Evan Stockton(Cindy), son-in-law Jim Clark, grandchildren Robert Fonseca(Vicki), Ryan Fonseca(Rebecca); 2 great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and friends.
She is forever in our hearts, but God knew she was tired and took her home.
There will be a visitation at Marshall-Spoo on Monday, Oct. 2 from 5-7 and graveside service, Tues. Oct 3, at 10:30.
