John Craig Robertson, 75, of Oceano passed away peacefully in his home on March 29th, 2025 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born on September 26, 1949, to John and Bette Robertson, he was a lifetime resident of the Central Coast. He graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 1967 and never missed a reunion. He owned Robertson Construction Concrete and later in life worked at Miner’s Ace Hardware in Arroyo Grande. He coached Babe Ruth baseball in the 70s and 80s, taking the team to the World Series in ‘77. He was the life of the party and always looking for a good time. He loved baseball, bbqing, dancing, going to concerts, spending time with family and friends and most of all Christmas. He dressed up as Santa for many different occasions and it was one of his absolute favorite things to do.
He is survived by his 3 children Jennifer Kary(Kevin) of Grover Beach, CA, Jody Hedges(Josh) of Lubbock, TX and Josh Robertson(Micci) of New Braunfels, TX, 6 grandchildren; Randi, Alexandra, Jameson, Jacoby, James and Lucas, his longtime girlfriend Mary Kocher and siblings Bub Robertson of Prescott, AZ and Gayle Cecchetti(Melvin) of Arroyo Grande, CA.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
