Jeanne Louise Gerbi

The laughter and fun loving spirit of Jeannie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Jeannie passed away in her home on December 19, 2024. She was always positive and playful even in the face of a cancer diagnosis. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Ray. Jeannie was born in Glendale, California to Clint and Dorothy Andree. She attended Incarnation, Holy Family High School and was a member of the glee club and volleyball team. Her family summers were spent on Balboa Island since 1946. She met her husband Ray in 1964 and they married in 1966. They moved to Newport Beach in 1967. Jeannie worked as a warranty administrator. In 1997 they retired and moved part time to Moonridge in Big Bear Lake. 

In 2003 They built their new “Lighthouse” home on Balboa Island on the same lot as their summer home. In 2015 Ray and Jeannie joined their Central Coast family and moved up to Arroyo Grande, Ca.  Jeannie  loved traveling, wine tasting, dining out, cooking, shopping, and gathering with family and friends. 

Jeannie was a member of the Newport Beach Yacht Club, American Legion Aux, SSOPC, Island Girls, Patio Chair  Drill Team, The Sunshine Girls, and the Mackerel Flats Yacht Club.
