Isabel Roush

Isabel, E. Roush aka “Izzy,” was born on November 11, 1924 in Los Angeles, California. A beautiful young redhead caught the eye of Russell J. Roush a young Marine and the two were married May 23, 1946. They had two sons, Dennis and Ronald. Izzy was a woman of great faith, and she loved Jesus with all her heart. She was a member of Grace Bible Church Arroyo Grande for many years after she and Russ moved from Los Angeles, CA to Pismo Beach CA. Anyone who knows Izzy would often hear her say with exclamation, “the Lord knows!” She was an alumni of UCLA extension, and retired from the California Association of hospitals and health systems, where she worked as an appeals liaison representative and unemployment insurance program. She and Russ moved to San Luis Obispo in 2003. After she lost her beloved Russ, her health begin to fail, but her spirit remained strong. She had a beautiful smile and many words of encouragement for anyone she would come in contact with. She absolutely loved watching the hummingbirds from her window. She passed away at the age of 98 peacefully on March 16 at Ingleside Assisted Living in Atascadero. We are thankful she is not suffering and is in the eternal presence of her Lord and Savior. She’s preceded in death by: Nishau Hagopian (father) 1965, Mildred Hagopian (mother) 1984, Dennis A. Roush (son)1983, Ronald J. Roush (son)1986, Russel J. Roush (husband) 2016. Isabel’s life was celebrated at the graveside on April 21, 2023 Arroyo Grande cemetery.
