Helen Willmott

Helen Willmott was born in 1930, the 4th child of British immigrants, Harry and Gladys Sinclair in Pasadena Ca. She was a graduate of John Muir HS. In 1948 she married the love of her life James B. Willmott (d.2010). In 1960 they moved to Arroyo Grande where Helen worked as a preschool teacher and from 1968-1988 was the attendance secretary at Arroyo Grande High School. She was a dedicated and active member of Grace Bible Church throughout the years and is fondly remembered for her cookies. Helen was an excellent gardener and seamstress. She loved animals especially her cats, dogs, hummingbirds and pet scrub jay. Helen enjoyed backpacking in the Sierras and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her generosity and her sweet and caring spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know and love her. Helen is survived by her sister, Barbara Robertson; children, Virginia Conrow (Michael) and James Willmott; grandchildren, Rebecca Conrow Bayles (Aaron), Alan Conrow (Meredith), Laura Conrow; and great-grandchildren Angel Fuerte, Adeline, Evelyn, Ian and Eleanor Conrow, as well as a number of dear extended family and treasured friends.  A graveside service will be held at Arroyo Grande Cemetery June 21, 2022 at 2:30pm.
