Fausto Peter Regusci, born in Bellinzona, Switzerland, passed away peacefully
surrounded by his family on December 13, 2024, in Grover Beach, California, at the age
of 86.
As a teenager, Fausto immigrated to the United States, settling on the California Central
Coast, where he embraced the values of hard work, education, and family. He
graduated from Gonzales High School and went on to earn a degree in Dairy Science
from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. His passion for
agriculture and the dairy industry shaped his lifelong career, during which he earned
numerous accolades, including the prestigious title of Kentucky Colonel, awarded by
Governor Ernie Fletcher in 2004. He retired in 2019, leaving behind a legacy of
dedication and excellence.
A devout Catholic, Fausto was a committed parishioner of St. Paul’s Catholic Church
and an esteemed member of the Knights of Columbus, where he achieved the rank of
Fourth Degree Knight. His faith and service to the church were guiding principles
throughout his life. Fausto is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Suzette (Willette);
his daughters, Elizabeth (Betsy) Scalzo (Anthony Scalzo), Linda McIntyre (Scott
McIntyre), and Susan Jones (Darryl Jones); 12 grandchildren; and a host of
great-grandchildren who will carry on his memory and values. He was preceded in
death by his daughter, Corinna Bice.
Fausto will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his faith, and his
work. His kind heart, sharp mind, and commitment to excellence touched the lives of
many. His legacy lives on in the love and memories he shared with all who knew him.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church on February 7, 2025, Rosary
will be recited at 10:30AM, followed by the funeral mass at 11:00AM. A barbecue
reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to his favorite charities, St
Paul’s Catholic Church, St Jude’s, Woods Humane Society, and the Wounded Warrior
Project in Fausto’s honor.
Rest in peace, Fausto, in the arms of the Lord you served so faithfully.
