Evelyn Tallman-Duceshi passed away on Saturday, January 18th 2025, at home surrounded by family. She was 97 years young. She is survived by sons: Ronny Tallman, Sr. (April), John Fowler (Joylynn) , and Darrell Fowler; Daughter: Judith Blanchard (Gene. 8 grand-children, 8+ great- grand-children and 2 great-great-grand-children.
She was proceeded in death by her husbands: Dann Tallman and David Duceshi; her parents: Lynette Perry, Louise and John Calhoun; and brothers; Edward (Bo, Shorty) Calhoun, Jogn Perry and Wayne Perry.
Evelyn was born in Rodeo, CA on February 24th 1927. Shortly thereafter, she moved to San Luis Obispo where her parents were from. She attended school in San Luis Obispo. After high school, she married Dan Tallman. Then in 1948 her son Ronny was born and she and Bo opened and ran the first of 3 service stations in Pismo Beach for 18 years.
She lived a life well lived. She worked at K-Mart and Wal-Mart, ran for county supervisor twice, met and married her second husband, David Duceshi. In November of 2024 she was inducted into the Off Road Motorsports Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, for her years of advocating to keep the Pismo Beach Sand Dunes open.
She will be missed by a world of people.
