Eugene Anthony Santos

Born October 1st 1941 in Fresno, California and went to his rest on August 24th 2021 in Grover Beach, California. Gene started out driving milk trucks for his dad when he was 16 years of age and drove until he went into the service just before his 26th birthday. Upon his return from the service, he worked for a few family operations prior to landing a job with PG&E as a truck driver. Once Gene became partially retired after 25 years from PG&E, he purchased his own truck and drove for a few more years because trucking was what he loved. It was his dream to own a business.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Mary Santos, brothers: Manuel “Ted” Santos and William “Bill” Santos. He is survived by his only son Eugene “Tink” Santos and wife Shannon Santos, as well as two grandsons Alek and Arian. Gene greatly adored his grandsons.

He is survived by his siblings: Richard and wife Diana, Clarence, Jim and wife Gail, Dorothea and husband Jim and Jerome Santos. He leaves behind 3 nieces and 5 nephews and many cousins.

Services will be September 7th 2021 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Lemoore, California, followed by burial at the Lemoore Cemetery.

Special thank you the employees at Wilshire Hospice and his faithful friends, Carole Lair and Larry Cabral. Their helpfulness and companionship helped Eugene life comfortably during the end of his day.
