Bonnie McCoy-Miller Obituary

Bonnie Mae McCoy-Miller, August 20, 1923 to December 29, 2022, age 99 went to heaven to be with the Lord, and reunited with family and friends on December 29, 2022.
She was born in Eakly, Oklahoma, on August 20, 1923, to Gus and Eula McCoy.   She was one of 7 children, 3 brothers (one of whom passed away as an infant) and 3 sisters.  She moved to Buttonwillow, California, with her family as teenager during the depression/dust bowl era. She lived in California for the remainder of her life.
She married Earl Miller in 1951, and lived on the Belridge oil lease for 26 years, and they had two children, Michael and Kathy.  After her husband retired, they moved to Bakersfield; and in 1989, after her husband and son had passed, she moved to the Central Coast to be close to her daughter who already lived there.
Bonnie was a beautiful, gentle, kind, creative, outgoing, strong-willed,  lovely woman of great faith proud of her Irish and Oklahoma roots, whose smile could light up the room, she deeply loved her family and friends.  She was a beloved storyteller remembering all the family history.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Miller; her son, Michael Miller; all of her siblings, Smokey, Burl, Dovie, Esther and Dotti.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Miller of Oceano; her special niece, Peggy Tazioli of Bakersfield; her grand-dog Molly who held a very special place in her heart; numerous nephews and neices throughout California, Oregon and Washington, and several special friends, Diana Hendryx of Grover Beach; Faye Ritchie of Arroyo Grande; Harold and Inge Herrrmann of Bakersfield; and Cierra King, like a grand-daughter to her, of San Luis Obispo, in addition to many others.   Special thanks to caregiver/friend who became like family, Janice LaMere; Antonia, Carolina, Juanita and Sara.
