Billie Jean Boultinghouse

Billie Jean Boultinghouse, 87, of Grover Beach Ca, Passed away May 29, 2023 ,of natural causes. She died peacefully with her family around her . Better known as Jeanie, by her children and (mema) by her grandchildren, was born September 7 ,1935 in Oklahoma .

Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Otto  Boultinghouse , Married just short of 50 years . She had two sisters and one brother who preceded her in death.
She has a surviving brother, Leo Matheny and sister-in-law Lillis, of Virginia, Also a surviving brother-in-law, Leon Githens of Oregon. She has three surviving children, David Boultinghouse of Grover Beach California, Linda Barton and son-in-law Kenny of Tehachapi,California , Janet Martinez of  Pismo Beach ,California. Jeanie has nine grandchildren, 18 great grand children, and one great great grandchild who made five living generations before her passing. Jeanie and her husband provided a loving home to many foster children for 20 years .

She enjoyed Nothing More then preparing large holiday meals and desserts for her family .She passed that tradition on to her children. Over the years Mema crocheted dozens of afghans and baby blankets for her family members. Jeanie’s great joy in her later years was being part of the Roy Orbison fan club ,where she kept the asphalt hot traveling back east to parties and celebrations. There she met some wonderful people which included some lifelong friends . We send a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Wyndham Residence for that loving care they gave our mom. We also extend a special thank you to the staff at Wilshire Hospice . Jeanie was a patriarch of the family . She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. A private graveside service is pending .
