Betty A. Domenghini

Betty A. Domenghini of Atascadero died September 11, 2023 at her home with her sons and "adopted" daughter Debra Miller at her side.

In 1955 she married Roy Domenghini, and became a beloved mother of three sons Dale, David and Duane. She spent 43 years working as a Resource Specialist for Special Education Students at Morro Elementary and Del Mar Elementary. Betty and Roy hosted seven exchange students while raising their three sons. Betty still found time to be a 4-H leader, teaching, sewing, cooking, and taking in orphaned baby animals. Not one to sit around, Betty attended Cuesta College at night and earned her AA degree in Library Science.

Betty had a passion for gardening, loved walks on the beach and sewing. At 80 years old she began raising chickens. She enjoyed traveling, making multiple trips to Europe with both her sons, Australia, and twice to New Zealand to visit relatives and friends. She was able to travel with her son David to Japan, Indonesia, some South Pacific Islands, most of the western states, New England and Alaska.

Betty is survived by her sons Dale and David, sister in law Doris Fields, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins throughout the U.S.A., Switzerland, the Azores, Portugal, New Zealand and Australia.
