Andrew (aka Drew or Andy) was born in Long Beach, CA on September 14, 1971. He lived much of his early life in Fresno, but also enjoyed his time in Oregon and finally Los Osos, where he settled to be near family and raise his daughters, with his wife Vicki. He loved the coast, but he also loved the mountains and snowboarding, the lakes (boating, fishing) and any outdoor or sporting activity.
Andrew cherished being a family man and so loved his wife and there two beautiful children. They were the world to him; you could not be in conversation with Andy, without hearing about his daughters.
Andy was one of a kind. No one else had his smile, his laugh, his presence. He was the only one who could be who he was and do what he did, with the utmost confidence and a lot of laughter. Everybody who knows him loved him and celebrates what a difference he made in our lives. If you were a brother, friend, cousin or even a stranger, being around Andy was unforgettable. He was so full of Life. Witty, smart, full of Spirit and a huge heart. Andy loved shooting hoops and golfing with his brothers and friends. He was pretty good too! Andy was the “guy” you always wanted on your side. He always stood up for the little guy with an unprecedented amount of courage and lack of fear. Especially his family, but also his friends and team mates.
There was nothing better then Andy watching his favorite Football team "The Raiders"! And being with him during a game was exhausting; fun; loud; a special time.
Andrew was an unbelievable salesman and loved that part of his career. His charisma, charm and quick thinking brought him many experiences, success and opportunities to meet a lot of people.
Andy was preceded in death by his Father James L McConnell, Grandma Sue, Grandma Pat, Grandpa Leo, Aunt Eileen and recently his brother Nicholas; where he has met them in glory and "peace".
He left behind his wife (Vicki) daughters (Riley, Reese (Rex)), mom (Victoria), T (Poppy), his brothers (Rick, Joshua, Freddy) and his grandfather (Pop). Plus, many more uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
The world lost a beautiful person and heaven gained an untamed spirit!!! We Love You Andy....You will Be FOREVER MISSED and NEVER FORGOTTEN. Until we meet again.
A celebration of life for Andy was held in Fresno, CA.
