Alex Quaresma Obituary

On Thursday July 23rd, 2020, Alex Jerry Quaresma, beloved son, adored brother, loving father of two, was killed in a tragic work accident when a trench where he and a co-worker were working, collapsed on them, killing them both.

He was born May 2, 1984 in San Luis Obispo but grew up in Orange County where he enjoyed playing soccer as a kid and was known for being “The Soccer King.” In 2005, his first child Alexis was born, a year later his second child, Bradley was born. They were the joy of his life and he did everything possible to make his kids happy.

Alex loved being around his family, he was definitely the life of the party, always had a smile and loved to make everyone laugh. Anyone that knew Alex loved him, he had a Special Charm. Alex had a way of overcoming obstacles no matter the effort nor the time. He managed to get through them and took pride in his accomplishments. Two of Alex’s favorite sayings were, “The grass is greener where you water it,” and “If you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready.” Alex’s goofy, fun-loving spirit is now in Heaven and can watch over his kids and other loved ones.

Alex was born on May 2, 1984 in San Luis Obispo, California to Neal (Jean) Quaresma, Sr. and Julie Hill, who survive him. He is also survived by two children, Alexis Quaresma and Bradley Quaresma, brother, Neal Jr (Jessica), two sisters, Ashley Quaresma and Mary  (Jeremiah) Johnson, grandmother, Gerrie Quaresma. His fiancée, Tara Macon and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive him.

A graveside service will be held at the Arroyo Grande District Cemetery, 895 El Camino Real, Arroyo Grande, CA on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 11 a. m.
