Michael Hughes Obituary

Michael ("Mike" to all who knew him) Hughes passed away on Thursday, September 19th, with his wife of 42 years, Penny, by his side. Mike spent 40 years in the hospitality industry, working from line cook to chef to manager to eventually supervising five restaurants. He also enjoyed, at different times in his life, writing, running, basketball, and, always, golf. He has been retired for the past ten years and enjoyed his time golfing and, later, at home with Penny and walking his beloved dog, Poppy, twice a day. In addition to his wife, Mike leaves behind his step daughters, Wendy Holland, 52, and April Holland, 47.
