Cody William Fowler, of Arroyo Grande, age 30, died unexpectedly due to complications of the flu on February 24, 2018. He is survived by his loving mother, Cindy; father, Steve; brother, Steven, (Musha, Marshall); and two sisters, Kylee (Ricky) and Lynsey. He is also survived by grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
Cody was born on December 27, 1987 in Santa Maria, California, to parents Steve and Cindy. At an early age, he was passionate about his friends, art, and music. That passion would only grow into adulthood.
He enjoyed creating music and artwork with multiple mediums. He later became passionately involved in ministry work at Hillside Church in Grover Beach where he touched many lives with his Christ-like attributes and through his worship music. He enjoyed leading worship, playing his guitar and singing to the congregation. Cody truly loved his fellow worshippers.
His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, sensitive, generous, and compassionate person. He never had a negative thing to say about anyone and he made friends with people from all walks of life. Cody loved helping and feeding the homeless. He literally gave them the shirts off his back.
A funeral is scheduled for noon on Saturday, March 3rd, at Hillside Church, 1935 Newport Ave, Grover Beach, CA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cody’s life.
