Justin Bryon Gray, of Nipomo, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, at the age of 44.

Justin born to Jesse and Beverly Gray in February in 1973 in Santa Maria. He was the eldest of three and diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at a very young age. Justin proved to be the ultimate fighter, and when he got the call 13 years ago that he would receive a double lung transplant, he spent the rest of his life ensuring that they were not wasted.

An avid motorcycle rider, Justin spent numerous hours riding, working on them, teaching others and sharing his love of the sport. He was always quick to help anyone in need. Putting others needs before his own was just how he did things. The saying, "give you the shirt off his back" is the best way to describe him. He was known to lend out his boots and helmet while at the track to people who had forgotten theirs at home. Even though he was suffering every day trying to breath, he would never complain. The world was truly a better place while he was in it, and he will NEVER be forgotten.

Justin is survived by his parents, Jesse and Beverly Gray; his sister, Jill Gray; his stepdaughter, Coral Hernandez; his step-granddaughter, Alayna; and numerous family by choice (friends). He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanene Gray who had Cystic Fibrosis as well.

A Celebration of Life will be held and the family invites those who wish to attend to contact Jeremy Woods at 805-698-3710. His family is very grateful for the condolences. The Gray family will not be accepting donations at this time. If you feel the need to donate funds, Please make them to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Justin's name at www.cff.org
