Carol Anne Doty

Carol Anne Doll Doty passed away peacefully in her Arroyo Grande home on July 27, 2017.

Carol was born in November 1937 in Taft, CA to Floyd and Lucille Doll. She attended local schools and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 1955. She married Russell Doty in November 1957 and they raised two sons together. She was a Realtor for 26 yrs with Mallory-Berryhill Real Estate and was a Charter member of Pismo Coast Board of Realtors. Carol was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan!

She was a 55 yr member of Beta Sigma Phi and was a recipient of all awards including the International Award of Distinction which is the highest award of the Sorority. She was involved in every aspect of the Sorority and was instrumental in starting new chapters and the forming of the Pacific California Council (PCC) which takes in the area from Santa Barbara to Paso Robles. She was the second president of the newly-formed council. Sorority was a very meaningful part of her.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother Lucille in 1991, her husband of 42 years, Russell Doty in 1999, her brother Jack in 2010, and her sister Mary in 2013.

She is survived by sons Benjamin(Laura) and Raymond(Denise). Grandchildren Ryan, Carlin, Kyle and Breanna, step-grandchildren Daye Hoffman(Rachel), Keasha Kuhnen(Kevin), and Colt Hoffman.  Great-grandchild Zoe Doty, Step-great-grandchildren Dylan, Brooke and Kinley Hoffman.  Brothers Tom Doll(Ruth) in Templeton, David Doll(Cheryl) in Arroyo Grande and Eddie Doll(Bonnie) in Paso Robles. She leaves a large extended family.

A celebration of life will be held on the family property on Kip Lane, Arroyo Grande on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beta Sigma Phi, PCC Council, 655 Crown Hill, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420.
